It is 6:00AM and the baby just wake up for his morning feeding. I always have to wake up and get a glass of water before I feed him so I am hydrated. I changed his diaper and brought him to the living room to feed him. He feed for about an hour and after he fall back to sleep I put him back in his crib for his morning nap.
A little bit about my breastfeeding journey. I have been breastfeeding for a little over a year now and have got the hang of it. The main thing I am try to figure out now is how much longer I plan to breastfeed. I am a SAFM and my husband works so I can be at home with the baby. I am now receiving a lot of social pressure from my mom and friends try to figure out how much longer I plan to breastfeed. I wanted to make it to at least a year and I was able to make it with the help of the Lord because the struggle in the beginning was really hard to balance everything out. I would cry 😭 in the beginning from the intense pain and the constant feeding every 2 hours. I bought nipple shield, got nipple cream and so much more. But the one thing that helped me the most in the beginning with sore nipples was to use the express breastmilk on my sore nipples to help relieve the pain. I solely pumped for about 2 months in the beginning until I got tired of washing all of the breast pump parts and the baby bottles daily. From that point I made it my goal to learn how to affectively breast-feed my child. He feeds ever 4 hours but I do incorporate coconut water throughout the day when we go out. I am trying to do baby led weaning and see how long he goes with breast-feeding. But I may possibly stop feeding him by two years old. He is still more interested in breast-feeding rather than eating solid foods solely. Let me know if you have any comments or questions about my breastfeeding journey.
