Hello friends my this video is dedicated to all first time mothers. To become a mother is the most beautiful experience of this universe. During the third trimester of pregnancy all ladies should try to read about the process of child birth, breastfeeding and kangaroo mother care. All mothers should exclusively breastfeed their baby for first six months. Breastfeeding should be initiated within first hour of birth. Mixed feeding and formula feeding should be avoided. Cow’s or buffalo’s milk is not recommended for babies below one year of age. Regular weight record should be maintained on every vaccination visit. Babies can pass 8-10 small stools per day or may pass stools every 3-4 days, both these are normal and don’t need any treatment. Regurgitation of milk is common and can be avoided by burping the baby after every feed. Don’t overfeed your baby and give feeds after every two to three hours. Each feeding cycle should be at least 20-30 minutes. Sucking and rooting reflexes are natural reflex and don’t mean that your baby is hungry. Colic is again a common problem and usually doesn’t need any treatment. Ghutti, honey or gripe water should not be given to babies. Room temperature for babies should be 26-28 degrees Celsius. Proper hand wash should be done before touching the babies. Infection can be avoided by avoiding overcrowding and minimum handling of babies. Kangaroo Mother Care should be done in all preterm and low birth weight babies. It helps in maintaining temperature, weight gain and strong emotional bonding. So all new mothers enjoy your baby and give them a healthy life by your positive parenting.
