This presentation will discuss the impacts of Opiate Replacement Therapy on pregnancy, breastfeeding and the newborn. It will discuss the pregnancy care needs of women on ORT, what follow up is required as well as the recommendation for breastfeeding. It will also cover the management of the newborn baby and what impacts this may have on the family unit.
