* *Aaj Ki Ta’leem* *
“` Seerah of Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم “`
(Part 6)
_*Birth & Breastfeeding*_
_First Mother Bibi Aminah (ra) breastfed our Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم_
_it was a custom of arabs that they would send their children into the villages where the atmosphere would be clean and better for the babies health for breastfeeding_
_when Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم was born the news had spread, uncle abu lahab had a slave girl, thuwaibah who came to inform him about the birth_
_abu lahab set the slave girl free (thuwaibah) in happiness of birth of Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم, abu lahab is first uncle of Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم، He used the gesture of his finger to free this slave girl_
_sometime later hadhrat abbas (ra) saw abu lahab in a dream who said since death i have been punished_
_we learn here the importance of iman, how this will help us and free us from punishments_
_we will not be able to bare any sort of azab_
_iman will help us then_
_so abu lahab said that i am punished, however every Mondays (this was day of birth of Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم ) the punishments are less and how much water can be put in my finger, i am given that much: this is result of the only connection he had with Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم_
_now imagine, because of onky this connection his punishments is less, if we are to connect with Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم 24/7 how much will allah ta’ala have mercy upon us_
_however, thuawaibah breastfed Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم when He was young, there are 2 opinions if she accepted islam or not, later in Islam Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم used to pay alot of respect to her_
_thuwaibah also fed milk to hamza (ra) and abu salamah (ra) and Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم , so all these 3 are milk brothers_
_abu salamah (ra) had a daughter burrah , she has now become the niece of Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم , so marriage between them both is impermissible_
_and other reason for marriage to be impermissible was that later Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم was married to umme salamah (ra) so then she becomes the step daughter and one is not allow to marry step children_
_may allah ta’ala grant us all the Love of Himself and of His Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم . ameen_
