Breastfeeding support group at risk of closure

Mothers and their babies joined a protest in Barnet against the possible closure of a breastfeeding support group they say provides a vital lifeline. The service at Hope Corner Community Centre offers one-to-one support for new mums. But local council budget cuts means its losing its funding. Barnet council says breastfeeding services will continue in the borough but campaigners today weren’t convinced.
