Breastfeeding mom Mary Charles from Alaska was forced to quit 2 jobs back to back.
She had to quit these jobs because her bosses would not allowing her to pump more then once during an entire 8 hour shift.
This was not nearly enough breaks for her to feed for her baby.
It was ALSO not legal.
She was outraged at these unfair employers.
As a mother of two she needed a job to pay the bills. Mary didn’t know what to do.
It’s not easy to get work in Alaska and she thought maybe she made a mistake by quitting
But then she realized “no I need to stand up against this discrimination, other wise it will happen again and again to future moms”
So instead of looking for another job she did something else.
She found out where to file her discrimination claim against her boss.
Now most of you probably have never filed such a claim. Well It was her first time also. She had to read through the website to find out what was needed to do to properly file such a claim.
She found out that the human rights division would not accept her claim without proof.
But Mary didn’t have any proof, so what did that mean?
She started to feel overwhelmed and defeated. Thoughts crept in like “what if her boss tells other business owners not to hire her and she can’t find work?”
You see this is what happened earlier.
Employees from her first job she had to quit from, told her new boss that Mary uses pump breaks as an excuse. Then her boss used this against her as a reason to cut back her shifts and give her work to other non-breastfeeding workers.
See co-workers used her pump breaks against her to compete for shifts. It was a nightmare.
Mary was afraid this would keep happening.
What if she can’t get another job?
As she’s thinking like this she remembered something.
She quickly got her phone out and saw the old texts from her boss still there.
She screen captured them. Mary now had her proof.
She showed me these text messages. So let me read you one here.
Her boss texted her this:
“You are taking advantage of the company and I am not happy about it. Don’t throw your pump breaks required by law at me. I know the law and I also know you used that on other employers”
She had her boss caught red handed and this was enough for The human rights division to take her case.
Now the wheels are in motion to prevent this boss from further discriminating breastfeeding moms.
Not long after she successfully filed her claim she got a new job.
She said it’s one of the best places she’s ever worked and her boss could not BE more supportive of her pumping at work.
We are here to support working moms.
It’s why I created a free presentation to help working moms get the most out of there pumping sessions at work.

But there are simple and safe solutions to increasing output while at work and I’m happy to share with you for free.
Simply click learn more on my breastfeeding support Facebook page to be taken to my website that has my Milk-Production Barrier Quiz.
It only take 20 seconds to fill out. Then you’ll get your own custom milk-production barrier solution.
This is a great way for moms to understand what might be holding back their output.
