Five Sandoval Indian Pueblos was funded through NWA’s Community Partnerships for Healthy Mothers and Children (CPHMC) Project to reduce and prevent chronic disease by creating a medicine wheel to educate moms about the importance of breastfeeding, increasing access to fresh fruits and vegetables in the community, and working with local tribes and state/local government to pursue funding and support for culturally specific education and support.
