D-MER stands for Dysphoric Milk Ejection Response. It’s when a breastfeeding mother experiences a short moment of Dysphoria upon milk release. This feeling can last just a few seconds, but can be so severe that women choose to stop breastfeeding all together.
D-Mer isn’t a well-known condition, so it’s important for me to raise awareness by sharing my personal struggle with D-MER.
I hope this video finds it’s way to mothers who are struggling with this “really sad, weird feeling you can’t explain” and sheds some light and love to you.

There’s a ton I didn’t cover when talking about my experience with D-MER, so please give this video a thumbs up if you’d like to see a D-MER series – I would be more than happy to film more about this condition.

Mamas, you are not alone in this. Hope this inspires you to share your stories. Let’s start a movement – let’s remove the stigma and offer each other support and love.

Can’t wait to read your comments and start the conversation.
