I created this video in support of National Breastfeeding Awareness Month (NBM18) and to celebrate the one year anniversary of the end of my breastfeeding journey with my daughter.
At the beginning, I took pictures just randomly for myself. I didn’t start taking the daily pictures until Mika was almost 3 months old. Every day, I was looking down at this tiny being and watching her change and grow little by little… One day I realized I wanted to document this precious thing we were doing together in a way that I could share with her as she got older. As I became more informed about breastfeeding and how little most of us actually know about it, my thought process turned to maybe I can use this as a way to help spread Breastfeeding Awareness and Normalization, even if a little.
In the spirit of unity, I’m [nervously] sharing this video in hopes that it might inspire other mothers who are creating their journey, who are currently on it, or who (like me) miss it to keep on keeping on. You are doing great! #NBM18
