How Do Breastfeeding Tops Work?

We’ve made a little demonstration video to show you how do breastfeeding tops work…

The video starts off zoomed in, so that you can see the pleated neckline. (This is often hard to see on a black top on screen!). We call this style of breastfeeding top a “bubble top” at Breastmates, because it has an elasticated waistband, allowing the fabric to drape nicely over your tummy.

In the video, you can see there is a front panel of fabric. You pull this aside, to access the nursing layer underneath. The nursing layer is a vertical central opening, so you can feed from either breast for your baby – of course!

Breastfeeding tops like this, enable mum to discretely access her breast, while not baring her naked body or tummy. Plus imagine she is holding a baby too, then you wouldn’t even see her bra. We show the pink bra in video just to make it clear where the breastfeeding opening is.

In this video, we have filmed using a regular mum-body, rather than a pregnant woman, so that you can see how the style fits her body. We have many customers who are neither pregnant nor breastfeeding, who wear this style of draped top as general mumwear.
