Breastfeeding duration rates are low in San Antonio, Texas, and low-income and Latina mothers face many individual, social, and environmental barriers to breastfeeding. Two employees in the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District’s Women, Infants and Children (SAMHD-WIC) department worked together to create a Baby Café to provide support and make breastfeeding peer counselors accessible to all San Antonio mothers.
